Book One · Standalone
On the eve of her tenth birthday, Sam Wilde dreams of a floating castle where every dream comes to life. When she wakes, no one else remembers it — which is annoying but not yet a crisis. Then the children of her town start falling asleep and don't wake up, and Sam has to go back, find a mysterious figure known only as the Author, and fix it. As one does.
From the author
"In the summer of 2016, my brother came up with a premise for a story. Falling in love with the idea, I devoted my time to writing it. In early 2020, he passed away. I finished the book to prove that I could — and as a love letter to him."
Kingdom of Dreams is Kyle Alexander's first independently published book, co-credited to his brother Alexander Cavanah, who first dreamed up the premise. It's a story about the world just underneath sleep — and about finishing something someone else started, because it mattered too much not to.
